Summer Field Institute for Environmental Scholarship

Examined landscape restoration and management in the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands. Traveled with sixteen professors and graduate students from the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, New Mexico State University, and the University of New Mexico as part of the “Restoration Landscapes of the Borderlands” summer field institute. Landscapes we visited included Ted Turner’s Armendaris and Ladder ranches in New Mexico, preservation sites and ecological research stations in Arizona, and conservation sites in Sonora, Mexico.
